We are excited to welcome Linda Puci from Usgilian del Vescovo Winery , Tuscany, Italy will be joining us along with Jon Offredo for this amazing wine tasting Friday, September 13th at 6PM

The origin of the Usiglian del Vescovo Estate dates back to the Middle Ages. The first act attesting to its existence dates back to 1078 when the powerful Matilda of Canossa donated Usigliano di Palaia, at the time better known as "Usiglian del Vescovo", to the Bishops of Lucca. The first production of wine dates back to 1083, when the Bishop of Lucca ordered to plant vines in the Court of the fief of Usigliano, to officiate mass. Today, Usiglian del Vescovo covers about 160 hectares, 25 of which are vineyards with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay and Viognier vineyards and 15 hectares of olive groves. The unique soil and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea make the optimal environment for viticulture. The vines here enjoy special conditions that give the wines uniqueness, exceptional flavor and freshness. At the center of the estate is the villa of Usigliano, a manor house to which the set of farms and castles scattered throughout the property referred in ancient times and from which the vineyards take their name.

5 Usgilian del Vescovo wines will be featured. The first, will be featured in the classic cocktail - Americano.

Usgilian del Vescovo Vermouth- will be featured in an Americano paired with Melon wrapped in Prosciutto.

Usgilian del Vescovo "II Sangiose" Rosato paired with Tomato and Mozzarella Salad.

Usgilian del Vescovo Chianti Superiore paired with Mushroom Cannelloni.

Usgilian del Vescovo "II Barbiglione" Super Tuscan paired with Roasted Pork Chop with Rosemary, Garlic, and Olives.

Usgilian del Vescovo Vin Santo paired with Caramel Pecan Torta.
